Meet The Team


Rob Mackay
Rob grew up in Kitchener, Ontario and earned a degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. He was the Manager of the Milton Centre for the Arts until his retirement in April of 2017. He is a passionate environmentalist and a strong believer in the “eat local” movement. He believes strongly that much of the climate degradation we are seeing is a result of large-scale farming practices.

Gord Mackay
Gord grew up in Kitchener, Ontario and earned both his undergrad and his LLB from the University of Western Ontario. For many years he served as Director of Legal Services for Home Hardware Stores in St. Jacobs until his retirement in April 2016. He was born with a passion for horses and has shown on several circuits. With his brother Rob, he acquired the farm in 2008 where he now enjoys his retirement.

Ella Campbell
Ella has been working with us since 2021 and is currently living in Elora. She is proud to be able to provide our community with fresh vegetables. You can find Ella at the Guelph Farmers' Market where you are greeted with a kind smile and maybe a good joke or two. Ella is an amazing up-and-coming farmer in our community.

Abby Mason
Abby was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario. Abby joined our team in 2022 and is currently living in Elora. She is passionate about protecting the environment and is eager to continue to keep learning about sustainable agriculture. Abby is the designated “Wash-Pack” farmer and spends her Wednesdays and Fridays getting ready for the CSAs and markets. She also is behind our website and social media! If you can't find Abby she is probably trying to befriend the feral barn cats!

Mikhail
We are happy to announce that Mikhail will be joining our farming team this coming 2023 growing season! Mikhail is a high school student currently living in Fergus. He is fascinated by the natural world and is very excited to learn more about agriculture and farming. Mikhail is currently a CELP (Community, Environmental, Leadership, Program) student in Guelph. We can't wait to have you on board Makhail!

George Campbell
George is a retired sled dog from BC. George is passionate about regenerative agriculture so, like Rob, he spends his days of retirement at the farm with his companion Ella. George enjoys: being pet, running, spending time with his grandkids, napping in the shade, and going on adventures. George is a very good boy and has learned not to walk on the vegetable beds!
